Colton Collins

Coach Collins is in his third year at McCallum and his fourth year of coaching baseball and football as well as a Special Education teacher. Coach Collins is a former MAC alumnus who played baseball as well as football from 2005-2009. In college, Coach Collins played football at Trinity Valley Community College as well as Lamar University in Beaumont, Tx and graduated from Lamar in 2013. Coach Collins began his career at Lockhart High School in 2021 as the Offensive Line coach as well as the Varsity Baseball Assistant Coach alongside Coach Honeycutt. Coincidentally, Coach Collins moved to McCallum at the same time as Coach Honeycutt, unable to pass up an opportunity to return to his alma mater and give back to the community he grew up in as well as fulfill his goal of coming back to McCallum and carrying on the legacy of his High School football coach Pat Honeycutt, who passed away during his senior year of high school. Coach Collins will be the Head Coach for the JV1 and JV2 baseball teams this year. Coach Collins was also a part of the coaching staff with Coach Honeycutt and Coach Searle for the 2023 Austin Area Baseball Coaches Association High School All-Star Game. He is looking forward to the continued and storied success of the McCallum Baseball program!
